Holidaze Dinner Party

When the weather outside is frightful…you know its time to stay inside drinking pot upon pot of hot apple cider with spiced Kraken rum, eating baked pumpkin filled to the brim with gruyere and wild rice, and finishing with a delicious cherry galette piled high with ice cream.  And then play Taboo.  Followed by more ice cream.

Sauteed Spinach with Shiitaki Mushrooms

Cheesy, Gooey Macaroni and Cheese (made by Brandon Carter!)

Broccoli Rabe with Red Chilli Flakes (forgotten in the heat of the moment, and left in the microwave)

Dessert: Dorie Greenspan’s Gateau Basque with Sour Cherries and Ice Cream (made by Ksenia!)

Libations: Cider and Spiced Rum with Mulling Spices (brought to you by the Boghanis!)

New holidaze dinner party dress from Uniqlo.

Nina spilled red wine on our wholly undeserving British flag rug, and felt obliged to clean it up.  At this point I could only giggle and take photos.

This is what 4 am in the morning looks like after we all cuddled on the couch and listened to The National.
