Supper Club: September 14, 2010

After a brief month hiatus – Supper Club is back with a vengeance!  And what we have to look forward to is Ksenia’s move to New York, and subsequent Supper Club culinary experiments and expertise, along with a potential hosting by Nina.

Location: Leah’s apartment in Park Slope

Players: Me, Leah, Pri, Ksenia and Nina

Menu:  ICE or eclectic European cuisine

Asparagus + Arugula + Prosciutto rolls

Bittman’s Greek Nachos (ooh – you wonder what those are?  me too – ingredients: homemade pita chips, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, ground lamb, mint yogurt sauce + hummus on the side)

Grilled Figs + Peaches + Feta drizzled with a balsamic honey vinaigrette (I just discovered I had no idea how to spell vinaigrette)

Homemade hummus via the magical fantasmagorical Magic Bullet

Fran would be so proud.

Luscious.  Figs + Peaches drizzled with balsamic vinegar and honey is the utmost in sexy food.

Olive oil from Spain.  Olive groves and seductive Spanish men waft out through the opening.

I don’t know.

Rolling the sushi inspired prosciutto, asparagus and arugula rolls like a cocoon.

I can’t pour wine equally although I tried to use the handy dandy counting method.  One Mississippi…Two Mississippi…Three…

A miracle.  Ice dancer in training.

Assembling the Greek nachos

Mint – yoghurt sauce

Dessert – looks like a la mode but actually is feta

DONE!!  Too much food = coma.  Ksenia might be crying from laughter.  How many people can we fit on this bed?
