Leah’s 26th Birthday

A birthday party in Prospect Park – at TWILIGHT – with dinner from Naidres, multiple bottles of wine including a Prosecco and a double bottle, two desserts, and THE NATIONAL playing.  Twas lovely and amazing.

We’re so disarming darling everything we did believe.  Is diving diving diving diving off the balcony.  Tired and wired we ruin too easy.  Sleep in our clothes and wait for winter to leave.

Hands down the cutest photo of us!

Chronicling the assembling of the desserts I made.  First up – Saffron and Honey’s wowzer of a tart – strawberry yogurt tart – with CANDLES – and the candles’ flames glowed the color of the candle itself.  Magic.  Leah clutched that bottle of wine for a good two minutes.

Birthday girl with her birthday sunflowers!

Revelry.  Making wishes.  Taking names.

Second dessert – strawberry shortcake – which came out divine.  Never have made it, it fairly surprised me just how delicious it was.  I persisted in making food noises of delight while consuming mine.  The biscuit was easy enough to bake, and the strawberries marinated in sugar and lemon was delish atop the freshly whipped heavy cream topping with vanilla extract.  Looks classy in the TVLand supplied bowl.

Hands down best picnic of anyone around us.  Shame, shame, shame on them.  Kudos for us.

Post-The National and post-our own song session on our picnic blankets  singing Disney songs, we found the playground.

Margaret is a ball of mischief.  And flexible.  Gentleman, take a number.

Night shots of the playground activity which rounded out a great night.

A perfect summer night had by all.  Happy Birthday Leah!
